OUR APPROACH
Our primary goal as your therapist is to provide a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and where you feel accepted, listened to, and understood. The focus of our work together will be to understand, manage, and overcome the difficulties you are experiencing, and to learn the necessary skills to cope when things become tough.

While we favour Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions, we draw on a wide range of therapeutic models according to your individual needs, difficulties, and goals for therapy.

Our work follows the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) to provide effective treatments.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Introductory Call

Once you submit the Contact form, we’ll reach out to arrange a brief, complimentary introductory call to discuss your concerns and set up an initial assessment (via video or phone). Following this call, you'll receive an email with all the details for your assessment, including date, time, cost, and a confidentiality agreement. We'll ask you to confirm these details before proceeding.

In your initial assessment, your therapist will take the time to understand your situation in depth. This assessment is a standalone session designed to help determine the best treatment options for you.

There is no obligation to begin therapy following the assessment, nor does it ensure treatment with Wise Mind Psychotherapies Ltd.

Confidentiality

Everything we discuss will remain confidential within the service. The only time that we would need to share information with other professionals is if we become concerned about your safety or the safety of someone around you. This would be discussed openly within the session.
