ABOUT ME

Robyn Lithgoe headshot

My name is Robyn Lithgoe and I am a Highly Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over 12 years of experience dedicated to supporting the social, emotional, and psychological well-being of my clients.

My passion lies in creating a warm, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic relationship, where you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I believe in the power of shared laughter and a space where nothing is off-limits or considered shameful. Together, we will embark on a journey of self-exploration, using evidence-based interventions to help you navigate life’s challenges, with your personal experiences and values always at the heart of our work.

I follow the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) standards of conduct, performance, and ethics, and I truly consider it a privilege to support each of my clients.

In addition to running my private practice, Wise Mind Psychotherapies Ltd., I also serve as a Senior Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, supervisor and manager within a London-based NHS Talking Therapies service, bringing a depth of experience to both my individual practice and my role within the NHS.

EXPERIENCE

I have extensive experience working within both primary and secondary care settings within the NHS, providing assessments and brief, as well as longer-term therapeutic interventions to individuals seeking support from their GPs for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, anger, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

In addition to this, I have a rich background in working with individuals with more complex needs, having practiced in various settings such as prison services, older adult community mental health services, and learning disability services. This experience has deepened my passion for supporting adults with trauma histories who may struggle to form and maintain relationships or manage overwhelming emotions.
